Research Use Policy

Effective date: [INSERT EFFECTIVE DATE]

This Research Use Policy applies to every product supplied by Doomwell, LLC under the AKEM brand unless a product page expressly states a narrower permitted use.

1. Permitted Purpose

AKEM products are supplied solely for controlled laboratory research and analytical testing by qualified personnel. Permitted work may include lawful in-vitro analysis, method development, identity or purity analysis, receptor or binding research, cell-based research, biochemical assays, and other nonclinical laboratory work conducted under appropriate institutional, legal, and safety controls.

The examples above describe categories of laboratory activity, not validated uses, instructions, performance claims, or guarantees that a particular product is suitable for a particular method. The purchaser must independently determine suitability and establish appropriate controls.

2. Prohibited Uses

AKEM products may not be:

  • administered, applied, injected, implanted, ingested, inhaled, or otherwise used in or on a human or animal
  • used for self-experimentation, personal use, bodybuilding, weight management, appearance, performance, wellness, or any other consumer purpose
  • used to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent a disease, condition, or injury
  • used to affect the structure or function of a human or animal body
  • used in clinical care, patient management, veterinary care, compounding, prescribing, or dispensing
  • used as or incorporated into a drug, medical device, food, food additive, dietary supplement, cosmetic, household product, or veterinary product
  • relabeled, repackaged, resold, transferred, or advertised for a prohibited use
  • used in violation of an applicable law, regulation, permit, institutional rule, sanctions rule, export control, or professional obligation; or
  • represented as approved, cleared, safe, effective, pharmaceutical grade, sterile, or suitable for human or veterinary use.

3. Purchaser Qualifications and Responsibilities

The purchaser must be at least 21 years old and must be regularly and lawfully engaged in nonclinical laboratory research, chemical analysis, or physical testing, or authorized to purchase for an organization engaged in that work. The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that products are received and handled only by appropriately trained personnel in a suitable facility. The purchaser must maintain appropriate engineering controls, personal protective equipment, labeling, segregation, storage, documentation, incident procedures, and disposal practices.

Before ordering, the purchaser must review the product identity, strength, lot information, available COA, and applicable safety information. The purchaser is solely responsible for experimental design, method validation, controls, legal review, permits, and determining whether the material is suitable for the intended lawful laboratory work.

4. No Dosing or Administration Information

AKEM does not provide dosing, cycle, administration, injection, ingestion, personal reconstitution, or expected human or animal effect information. Requests for that information are outside the permitted purpose of the Site and may result in cancellation, access restriction, or account review.

5. Batch and Identity Controls

Use only documentation that matches the exact product and batch or lot in hand. A COA for one batch does not apply to another batch. Product identity fields may differ by salt, counterion, sequence, redox state, hydration, or other form. If the label, batch code, or documentation does not match, quarantine the material and contact AKEM before use.

6. Storage, Handling, and Disposal

Follow the storage and handling information supplied for the exact product and batch. Protect products from unauthorized access. Dispose of products, containers, and experimental waste through a lawful laboratory-waste process appropriate to the material and jurisdiction. Do not dispose of products through food, household, medical, or personal-use channels.

7. Order Review and Enforcement

AKEM may request information reasonably necessary to verify purchaser eligibility and lawful research intent. We may refuse, cancel, restrict, or terminate an order or account when information is incomplete, inconsistent, or indicates possible prohibited use, diversion, fraud, or legal risk.

8. Acknowledgment

By purchasing, you confirm that you have read this Policy, satisfy its purchaser requirements, and will use every product only for lawful controlled laboratory research or analytical testing. You understand that an AKEM label or disclaimer does not authorize unlawful use and does not make a product approved, cleared, safe, or effective for human or veterinary use.

Questions about this Policy may be sent to [INSERT SUPPORT EMAIL]. AKEM support cannot answer medical, dosing, administration, or personal-use questions.

Unless a product page expressly identifies a specific applicable authorization, AKEM products have not been approved, cleared, or authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for human or veterinary use. “Research use only” does not make a product, purchaser, transaction, or protocol exempt from applicable law.
